Carmenta successfully participated at the WASP WARA PS demonstration
WASP (Wallenberg AI Autonomous Systems and Software Program) is one Sweden’s largest individual research program ever. The program addresses research on artificial intelligence and autonomous systems in collaboration with humans. The WARA PS is one of the research arenas in the WASP program that focus on public safety and several of the platforms are using Carmenta’s technology.
On September 18-19 the WASP Research Arena for Public Safety had a demonstration at Gränsö in Västervik/Sweden, read more about the event. The scenario is a Search and Rescue operation and the goal is to find people that’s fallen overboard. The operation involves several autonomous platforms such as fixed wing UAV:s, drones and USV:s that completely autonomously search and locate the distressed persons. The autonomous boat Piraya developed by Saab Kockums is one of the platform that are using software from Carmenta.
